Specialist leisure and hospitality agent Sidney Phillips has sold one of East Grinstead’s most successful and popular businesses.

CJ’s Café Bar boasts a prime position in the heart of the affluent and sought after West Sussex town of East Grinstead. Its High Street is awash with properties of historic and architectural interest and houses a wide variety of local and boutique retailers as well as national outlets.

CJ’s occupies a notable ‘Gothic’ style property, which has been well invested in in recent years, providing an open plan bar and dining area with seating for 60, three exquisite hotel bedrooms presented in a grand Georgian style, and East Grinstead’s hidden gem, an elevated decked trade terrace with unrivalled views across the impressive neighbouring Church of St Swithun’s.

The business has been successfully run by the sellers since 2002, who have taken an empty premises and created a hugely popular and well renowned venue within the town, popular throughout the day including breakfast, lunch and dinner. CJ’s has held a number of successful events including wine tasting evenings, vintage tea events and live music.
