Leisure and hospitality specialist Sidney Phillips has announced the sale of the George Hotel in Battle.
Battle is one of the south east’s most popular tourist hubs, in the site of the Battle of Hastings, the battlefield of which claws in thousands of visitors every year. Battle Abbey is one of the best-known landmarks in the region.
The George Hotel occupies part of a well-known and grand 18th Century property situated centrally on Battle's busy high street. This Grade II listed property has long been a landmark in the town. It boasts 23 en suite hotel rooms across three floors as well as a two bedroom manager’s flat.
Sidney Phillips sold the leasehold interest of the property on behalf of long-established clients and hoteliers to an established regional hotel group, again well-known to Sidney Phillips.
