Eden Valley public house with letting room let by Sidney Phillips

The globe Inn, a quaint village pub located in the village of Calthwaite in Cumbria, has been let through hospitality property specialist Sidney Phillips.

The character 18th century public house is located in the attractive village of Calthwaite, which is located between Penrith and Carlisle and within easy reach of the Lake District National Park, Hadrian's Wall and the Eden Valley, as well as Junction 41 of the M6 motorway.

The property comprises of a two-section trade area, with the main bar offering seating for 45 and a restaurant area offering 22 covers. The trade areas offer much character and charm, retaining many original features. To the rear of the building is a well-equipped and generous sized trade kitchen with four letting rooms and communal lounge occupying the first floor. To property also features a good-sized trade garden and car park for ten vehicles.

Dean McVay, Regional Valuations Manager for the Northwest, handled the letting and commented: “The Globe Inn represented a wonderful opportunity to take on a successful and popular public house with letting rooms in an affluent village location, close to numerous tourist attractions and stunning countryside.”

“The public house previously had an excellent reputation, and I have no doubt that that the new tenants, who are local multiple operators with a wealth of trade experience, will continue to grow the business for many years to come. We wish them all the best with their exciting plans for the Globe Inn.”

Sidney Phillips let the Globe Inn on a new free-of-tie lease agreement.
