Free-of-tie community pub in Surrey sold

Leisure and hospitality specialist Sidney Phillips has announced the sale of the Royal Marine in Chertsey to experienced operators.

The Royal Marine is situated in the affluent and sought after Surrey village of Lyne, approximately 1.6 miles east of the major town of Chertsey. Although a predominantly residential village, the area does house a number of draws to the area including Fox Hill's Country Club and Resort, Runnymede Hospital, Thorpe Park Resort and Brooklands Museum.

The Royal Marine is a traditional two-storey detached public house, conveniently positioned along the village’s main thoroughfare close to the village hall and a number of residential properties. It boasts a traditional single bar operation, three bedroom accommodation, trade garden and car park.

The Royal Marine has operated under the outgoing ownership for the past twenty-three years and has become a focal point in the local community. It operates as a traditional public house serving the needs of local residents, operated on a hands-on basis as a lifestyle business on limited trading hours to suit the seller.

The leasehold interest of the Royal Marine has been sold off an asking price of £60,000.
