Freehold Newark town centre pub sold

Freehold Newark town centre pub sold

The Watermill, a closed former community local pub situated in the Nottinghamshire market town of Newark on Trent, has been sold through specialist licensed property agents, Sidney Phillips.

This three storey semi-detached property is located on Mill Gate and briefly includes five double bedrooms, two bar areas, a basement cellar, car park with space for 15 vehicles and a trade patio with skittles alley.

The Watermill had most recently traded as a tenanted community public house, benefitting from a traditional drinks offering whilst showcasing multiple live events and sports teams.

Zaine Lamont, Regional Valuations Manager for the Eastern Counties handled the sale on behalf of the former vendors Admiral Taverns and comments, “I’m delighted to have assisted in the disposal of yet another site for Admiral Taverns. The Watermill represented a wonderful opportunity to acquire a sizeable three storey public house only a short walk away from the busy Newark town centre”.

The freehold interest of The Watermill was purchased by a private individual hailing from one of the neighbouring Nottinghamshire villages.

Sidney Phillips sold The Watermill, Mill Gate, Newark off a Freehold asking price of £225,000.
