The Plough, a closed community village pub situated in the central Lincolnshire village of Walcott, has been sold through specialist pub agent Sidney Phillips.
The Plough occupies a two-storey detached property and includes three internal trade areas, four en suite letting bedrooms, car park and two trade patios.
The property has been vacant since March 2020 when it previously traded as a community local with a traditional food offering. The business drew trade from in and around the surrounding residential areas as well as visitors from the local towns of Sleaford and Horncastle.
The Plough has been sold to an experienced operator who now embarks on their 5th venture into the hospitality industry, having most recently traded a similar business previously on the Kent coast. The new occupier is looking to have the business trading again before the end of November 2021 where they will be looking to offer a “pub classics” food menu whilst also catering to the local village drinking trade.

Sidney Phillips sold the Plough off a freehold price of Offers in Excess of £250,000.
