The Mayze, located on Castle Gate in Newark, Nottinghamshire, has today been sold by specialist hospitality sales agents Sidney Phillips.
Most recently operating as an affordable wet-led public house serving local residents and destination drinkers, The Mayze was renowned for its drinks offers and evening entertainment before it ceased trading in late 2019.
The Mayze occupies a mid-terrace property of brick construction under part flat felt, part pan tile roof. The property is ideally located for passing foot traffic on the busy Castle Gate road directly opposite the stunning Newark Castle gardens.
Zaine Lamont, Regional Valuations Manager for the Sidney Phillips Eastern Counties office handled the sale. The freehold interest of The Mayze was purchased by a private individual hailing from within the town of Newark.
