The Kings Steak & Burger Bar, a centrally located free house in Builth Wells, has been sold through leisure and hospitality specialist Sidney Phillips.
The town of Builth Wells (population 2,568) stands astride the River Wye on the main A470 Trans Wales trunk route and is one of the most popular fisherman's destinations in Europe, the Wye being famed for its salmon and trout.
In addition to the tourism the river brings, an area popular with those attracted by country pursuits including walking and cycling, it is also renowned as being the home of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Showground, a national functions and events centre that attracts up to 250,000 visitors to the main show alone.
The Kings Steak & Burger Bar is an attractive property located in the very centre of the town. It offers easy to operate, but small trading areas, with separate owners house with excellent reception rooms and three large bedrooms. The business was established some four years ago, having previously been a shop premises specialising in fishing tackle. Indeed, the Kings Steak & Burger Bar is still popular with the angling community.
The freehold interest of the pub has been sold to a local buyer off an asking price of £185,000.
