Leisure and hospitality specialists Sidney Phillips are delighted to announce the sale of the Bear Inn, situated in the hear of the market town of Llandovery, Carmarthenshire.
Llandovery has its own cattle market and railway station and is famous for being the home of Llandovery College, Wales’ premier public school famed for its rugby prowess. It is also an historic town with its own castle dating back to the 12th Century and which was besieged by the Welsh freedom fighter, Owain Glyndwr, in the early part of the 15th Century.
Located right in the centre of the town on the market square, the Bear Inn is an attractive historic building which is Grade II Listed dating back in part to the late 18th Century. It is a well-established pub which has been operated by the outgoing sellers for nearly 21 years.
In early 2016 the property was refurbished top to bottom, the quality of which is notable. It provides four separate ground floor trading areas including a gift shop, bar, coffees shop and restaurant as well as five en suite letting bedrooms at first and second floor level.
Sidney Phillips have sold the freehold interest to local experienced operators off an asking price of £175,000.
