Leisure and hospitality specialist Sidney Phillips is delighted to announce that the Green Dragon in Borehamwood has been let on a new free-of-tie lease agreement.
The Green Dragon is located in the Hertfordshire town of Borehamwood, a large conurbation of 32,000 residents sitting within the M25 London Commuter Belt. The area is best known as the home of the BBC Studios (AKA Elstree Studios) and houses a strong number of national retailers on the out of town retail parks and the town centre's shopping centre. The area is undergoing continual rejuvenation and is soon to be the home of the UK's newest and largest film studios developed by Sky.
The Green Dragon is an impressive and commanding purpose built-public house situated on the busy shopping parade of Leeming Road. The has been well invested in and maintained over the years and benefits from a large open plan trade space with seating for 90 and room for more standing, a two bedroom flat and front trade patio. The business has been developed over the past 30 years and is well known locally as the "go-to" pub catering for the needs of the local community. It enjoys a loyal local following and offers great potential for further growth, notably with the introduction of a food offering and a greater online presence.
Robert Cockayne, Regional Valuations Manager for London and the South East handled the letting and commented; “The letting of the Green Dragon is a great example of the strong demand that the market is showing for pub businesses with the potential for further growth.”
The Green Dragon was let off an asking premium of £80,000 on a new free-of-tie lease agreement.
