The Kings Head, New Buckenham, a food led community freehouse, has been let through specialist pub agents, Sidney Phillips.
The property occupies a two-storey link detached former coaching inn with pantile roof and is located in the centre of the popular Norfolk village and conservation area of New Buckenham where it overlooks the village green and the historic market cross.
The business most recently operated as a family run public house, restaurant and bed & breakfast. After being tastefully renovated in August 2015, the property offered a friendly, comfortable bar for local drinkers and a restaurant for more formal destination dining experience. A full varied menu was available for lunch and dinner with vegan and vegetarian options as well as providing set menus for special occasions and events such as funerals, birthdays and weddings.
Zaine Lamont, Regional Valuations Manager for the Easter Counties oversaw the letting and commented; “The Kings Head represented a wonderful opportunity to acquire a successful and well-established business in the vibrant village that is New Buckenham. I wish the new operators great success in the future and have no doubt with their experience the business will go from strength to strength.”
The new operator has over 20 years in the hospitality industry and will be looking to add to the success he has achieved with his other business, The Boars Head in Wymondham, by offering a classic British menu that is sure to attract destination diners.
Sidney Phillips sold The Kings Head off a leasehold asking price of £57,500.
