North Lincolnshire country pub sold by Sidney Phillips

The Thornton Hunt Inn, a destination food-led pub and 4* star inn/B&B situated in the village of Thornton Curtis, near Ulceby, Lincolnshire, has been sold via leisure and hospitality specialists Sidney Phillips.

Set in the marvellous North Lincolnshire countryside, the Thornton Hunt Inn is an award-winning Grade II listed freehouse which dates back to the 18th century. The property benefits from a large car park, children's play area/fun trail and spacious open plan trade areas. The property also includes three double bedroom owner’s accommodation and eight en-suite letting bedrooms.

Zaine Lamont, Regional Valuations Manager for Lincolnshire and the Eastern Counties handled the sale and comments; “The Thornton Hunt Inn is a fine example of a traditional Lincolnshire country pub with letting accommodation, this sale showcases that the market for open and trading public houses is still extremely buoyant despite the ongoing uncertainty relating to the Covid-19 pandemic”.

After nearly 24 years at the business the successful outgoing husband and wife operation are now looking to retire, handing over the reins to an experienced duo of chefs from Lincoln, who both have a background in managing pubs within the county.

Sidney Phillips sold The Thornton Hunt Inn off a freehold asking price of £395,000.
