Pub and development site in Glamorgan sold

Leisure and hospitality specialist Sidney Phillips has announced the sale of the Carpenters Arms in Llantwit Major, Glamorgan.

The Carpenters stands in a rural position on a road between the villages of Eglwys-Brewis and Boverton in the very sought after area that is the Vale of Glamorgan. The village of Boverton is a residential area on the edge of the larger town of Llantwit Major and the Carpenters Arms is positioned just outside of this community. Immediately to the rear is the large MOD Camp of St Athan. The military of this facility is being down sized and whilst there is still a military presence there, part of the site is now being used as a business park and for manufacturing. The sites most famous tenants are Aston Martin with the new DBX being built at the facility.

The Vale of Glamorgan is well known as being the most select and sought after residential area within the whole of The Principality commanding without doubt its highest property values. It has an exceptional coast line attracting walkers and ramblers throughout the year with the specific Glamorgan Heritage Coast Line route being particularly popular.

The Carpenters Arms is a very substantial property principally of stone construction which had previously offered spacious trade, letting and private accommodation. As a public house it has now been closed for over four years and planning permission has been passed for the conversion of the buildings into five independent dwellings.

The property has been sold off an asking price of £395,000 to a regional developer.
