Specialist leisure and hospitality agent Sidney Phillips has sold the freehold interest of The Nags Head in Pleasley, near Mansfield in Derbyshire.
The Nags Head, which is purported to have been built in 1935, is a two-storey detached traditional public house situated in Pleasley, a village and civil parish which straddles the boundaries of both Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Pleasley lies between Chesterfield and Mansfield, only 5 miles southeast of Bolsover and 2.5 miles northwest of Mansfield. The River Meden, which forms the county boundary in the area, runs through the village.
The business most recently supported pool, skittles and darts teams, as well as a dominoes group. It also catered for various functions and events such as funeral wakes, birthday celebrations and lunch clubs. The pub sells a selection of real ales which are popular with both local and destination trade.
Zaine Lamont, Regional Valuations Manager for the Eastern Counties oversaw the sale and commented: “I would like to pay a special tribute to our outgoing clients for all their hard work in establishing the business since they took over the premises back in June 2013, and I would like to wish them all the best for the future”.
The Nags Head was sold off a freehold asking price of £325,000 to an individual based in the Sheffield area.
