The Angel, a closed and once food-led pub situated in the village of Heytesbury in Wiltshire, has been sold through licensed property specialist, Sidney Phillips.
The charming two storey, grade II listed property, situated centrally in the village, which features an attractive 30 cover bar, 50 cover restaurant and 5 en-suite letting rooms was sold to experienced operators, Chaffinch Pub Company Limited.
Joseph James, Regional Valuations Manager for the Wessex office handled the sale and comments, “The Angel has been purchased by Chaffinch Pub Company Limited to add to their growing portfolio in the local area. A notable site already well established by them is the Bath Arms at Shearwater. Shortly after completion we understand work is already underway with a target opening date for early autumn. Further developments of the works can be found on their social media pages, @the_angel_heytesbury on Instagram.”
“The Angel represented a wonderful opportunity to acquire a once successful and well-established public house with plenty of scope to improve thanks to the good amount of tourism and passing trade in the area.”
“The pub previously had a good reputation and I have no doubt that Chaffinch Pub Company Limited will take The Angel to new heights for many years to come. I wish them all the best with their exciting plans for The Angel.”
Sidney Phillips sold The Angel off a Freehold asking price of £595,000.
