Sold by Sidney Phillips: Traditional Peterborough pub

Sidney Phillips’ Eastern Counties office have sold the Nags Head, Eastrea, Cambridgeshire off a freehold asking price of £295,000.

Zaine Lamont, Regional Valuations Manager for the Eastern Counties handled the sale and said, “I’m delighted to have overseen the completion of the Nags Head and to have found a purchaser in such a short space of time. It really shows that interest in freehold pubs remains strong, especially within the sub £300,000 pricing bracket.”

The Nags Head was known for their hosting of a variety of functions and events. These included live music, quizzes and fixtures for a pool and petanque team. The business’ main custom came by way of destination diners to the properties locally renowned Sunday carvery, trade was also derived from the local residential areas as well as passing motorists travelling between Peterborough and March.

David the former owner of the Nags Head commented, “I’d like to thank Zaine and his team for not only finding a buyer, but for finding one in less than 2 weeks. We’d previously marketed the property with a different agent without any success and for Sidney Phillips to perform as they did speaks volumes. I would most definitely recommend them to anyone looking to sell their pub.”
