Leisure and hospitality specialist Sidney Phillips have announced the sale of The Hampshire Bowman, a traditional destination freehouse located in the Hampshire countryside.
The public house comes with a substantial amount of land measuring in the region of 10 acres and is situated close to the market town of Bishops Waltham in the South Downs National Park.
The Hampshire Bowman pub comprises a 60-cover bar/restaurant, fully equipped catering kitchen and self-contained private living space above. Set in 10 acres, the site provides a substantial trade garden for over 200 covers, which is particularly busy in the summer months. The site also includes two large paddocks and a large plot of land to the north.
Joseph James, Regional Valuations Manager handled the sale and commented: “The Hampshire Bowman represented a wonderful opportunity to acquire a successful and well-established business in the desirable Hampshire countryside. Although the premises did close during the transaction, the new owners are excited to get the pub open to the public.”
“The pub has had a good reputation for decades and I have no doubt that the new owners and their tenants will continue to grow the business for many years to come.”
Sidney Phillips sold The Hampshire Bowman in excess of the freehold asking price of £800,000 to an investor with experienced tenant lined up and ready to re-open.
