The Swanage Railway, have been looking to outsource and franchise their catering operation along the stations of the Heritage Railway. In July 2024 a franchisee has been found through specialist business property adviser/licensed property specialists, Sidney Phillips.
A unique opportunity offered by the Swanage Railway Trust, consisting of three sites along the railway line in Dorset: Norden Station, Corfe Castle Station and Swanage Station. The railway branch opened in 1885 and over the years has established a large following, attracting over 200,000 passengers a year. Tourism is a major part of the economy for the area with National Trust landmarks and the Jurassic coastline all within the vicinity.
