The Sir Robert Peel, a closed pub situated in the Walworth area of London, has been sold through licensed property specialist, Sidney Phillips.
The Sir Robert Peel occupies a traditional two storey brick built public house situated in the Pelier Estate, a residential area set back from Walworth’s High Street which houses a number of independent and national retailers, approximately 1.9 miles south east of Charing Cross, close to Camberwell and Elephant & Castle.
The area is serviced by Elephant & Castle railway station (Travelcard Zone 1 & 2) with mainline Thameslink services to Blackfriars and Kings Cross, as well as London Underground services on both the Bakerloo and Northern lines. The area is undergoing large amounts of regeneration and gentrification which include an extension of the Bakerloo Line, with plans due to complete in 2028/2029 with the addition of two new stations to the area.
The Sir Robert Peel had previously operated as a traditional wet-led public house serving the needs of residents in the immediate vicinity, until an incident lead to its closure 2 years ago.
